EL RUISEÑOR Y LA NOCHE ESTRENA TEASERTHE NIGHTINGALE AND THE NIGHT UNVEILS TEASER

El homenaje que organizó Casa América para mañana 13 de junio, resultó una excelente excusa para proyectar imágenes inéditas de los últimos momentos de la vida de Chavela, incluidas en el teaser del documental. Será mañana, cuando alcancemos el primer horizonte del proyecto, en una noche especial, en la que también participarán el periodista Mingus B. Formentor, la cantante Martirio, Marta Gómez, artista que pondrá música a la velada, y un representante de Magoproduction, que explicará la experiencia del equipo durante el rodaje. It was an excellent excuse to project images unreleased of the last moments of the Chavela´s life, included in the teaser of the documentary. It will be tomorrow, when we reach the first horizon of the project, on a special night, which also involved the journalist Mingus B. Formentor; the singer Martirio; Marta Gómez, music artist who put music to the evening; and a representative of Magoproduction, explaining the team’s experience during the filming. HASTA PRONTO STORYBOARDS, HASTA PRONTO JORDI!

A veces, que termine alguna de las etapas del trabajo, significa despedirse de compañeros, y lo que es peor, muchas veces también de amigos. Es el caso de Jordi, ilustrador responsable de customizar nuestra foto de perfil en esta web y de darle mil vueltas a los guiones de la segunda temporada del Dr.W. No cabe ninguna duda que su paso por Mago deja marca y constancia de ello es el dibujo con el que puso el punto final a esta aventura, un resumen de iconos que  incluye lágrimas, maldad, buceo, afán por los pitillos de las 12 y el lápiz, su compañero de siempre. El storyboarder de la oficina se abre camino a otros mares y aquí ya comenzamos a echarlo de menos. Buen viaje, amigo!

Aquest any, hem decidit llençar el nou web amb una votació popular. L’equip de Magoproduction ha seleccionat les cinc primeres sessions, però quan ha arribat al final, ha pogut més la diferència d’opinions que el treball. Som així. Per evitar discussions i acomiadaments innecessaris, us passem la responsabilitat! Teniu temps fins el 12 de juliol per escollir entre els següents títols. La pel·lícula guanyadora es projectarà el dia 29 d’agost, com a punt final de l’estiu cinèfil. Un extraterrestre blau menjant crispetes al revés, un pirata pescador amb una sola cama i un simpàtic avi amb ulleres 3D. Aquests són tres dels peculiars protagonistes de la imatge de la segona edició de Cinema Lliure a la Platja, una mostra de cinema on tothom és benvingut! No hi ha restriccions, ni límits, ni entrada. Només el mar, una bona pel·lícula i una comunitat de persones que comparteixen amb els seus amics, familiars o animals un moment d’oci i creativitat a la platja. Enguany, la mostra es celebrarà tots els dijous del 25 de juliol al 29 d’agost a la Platja Sant Sebastià de la Barceloneta i comptarà amb la projecció d’algunes de les millors pel·lícules que han passat pels festivals de cinema de Catalunya. Sempre respectant l’idioma original amb subtítols en anglès.  A més a més, la selecció de curtmetratges va a càrrec de Filmets. La Metamorphosis, «an animated shadow theatre» es nuestro trabajo favorito. Después de su estreno en Japón en enero de este año y tras el éxito que causó en la MagoFiesta, el festival Nonstop Barcelona Animació ha programado una charla el próximo domingo 19 de mayo donde explicaremos cómo se ha desarrollado esta experiencia visual. El modo en que se proyecta, en cualquier muro interior o exterior; una puesta en escena original y un guión adaptado que recupera la historia de Franz Kafka, son sólo algunos de los elementos que convierten a La Metamorphosis en un trabajo único. Nonstop Barcelona Animació es la muestra internacional de animación de la ciudad. La cuarta edición cuenta con la colaboración de Juanjo Saez, encargado de diseñar el cartel, y con materclasses de M.Ocelot, Izu Troin y Serge Ume, la exposición de Lotte Reiniger y lo mejor de Annecy 2012. ¿Vamos? Hace tiempo que en Mago teníamos ganas de fiesta. El sábado 20 de abril, Studiostore abrió sus puertas a nuestro arsenal de proyectos y más de 80 invitados disfrutaron de música, cerveza helada y experiencias visuales diferentes. Ariadna e Isabel lo registraron todo: el furor de las cámaras flotantes, la exposición de dibujos, la presentación de la nueva web, La Metamorphosis y la sesión en directo de Orvonton. Cinema Lliure a la Platja sigue creciendo. Esta nueva edición contará con el apoyo de la Acadèmia de Cinema Català, el Club Natació Atlètic-Barceloneta, el Institut de Cultura de Barcelona (ICUB) y la colaboración de Fabra i Coats. Instituciones y entidades culturales que creen en la propuesta como un escaparate de cine hecho en Catalunya y como una oportunidad exclusiva de disfrutar de ocio gratuito en la playa de Barcelona. Aún quedan muchas novedades que comunicaros, ¡estad atentos! Cinema Lliure a la Platja is growing. This new edition will have the support of the Catalan Film Academy, Atlètic- Barceloneta Swimming Club, Institut de Cultura de Barcelona (ICUB) and the collaboration of Fabra i Coats. ¿A DÓNDE VAN LOS CABALLOS?WHERE DO HORSES GO?WHERE DO HORSES GO?

A todos nos gustan los momentos únicos. Este fin de semana viajaremos al Pirineo catalán a ser testigos del nacimiento de un potro. ¿La excusa? El rodaje de la etapa final de un proyecto multiplataforma que tiene como protagonistas a los caballos que pasan el verano en las montañas. Entre el vídeo-arte y el documental, esta aventura busca contar su ciclo de vida desde un punto de vista onírico, donde la naturaleza hace la mayor parte del trabajo. Everyone loves the unique moments. This weekend we will travel to the catalan Pyrenees to witness the birth of a foal. The excuse? Filming the final stage of a multi-platform project starring horses who spend the summer in mountains. Between video art and documentary, this adventure aims to tell the story of its life cycle for a dreamy point of view, in which nature does most of the work. Everyone loves the unique moments. This weekend we will travel to the catalan Pyrenees to witness the birth of a foal. The excuse? Filming the final stage of a multi-platform project starring horses who spend the summer in mountains.
